With the UK set to have more of us holidaying at home this year, now more than ever it’s important that we keep our pets protected. Before you set off, we’d like to help remind you of a few things.

  • Travelling to new areas of the country can increase the parasite threat risk to your pet. Make sure they’re fully up to date on their protection before you go.

  • Sheep and deer attract and host ticks, so make sure you check your pet and safely remove any ticks after walking in areas nearby.

  • If your dog likes to go for a swim, topical spot-on treatments may wash off. Speak to us about an alternative that works even if your pet gets wet.

  • If your camping by rivers, lakes or near farms infectious diseases such as Leptospirosis could be a risk so it’s important to keep vaccinations up to date.

  • If your dog is likely to come into contact with more dogs than usual, such as going to dog friendly pubs or country fairs, then also speak to us about contagious cough protection (kennel cough).
