Dental care is an important part of taking care of your pets health. Brushing your cat or dogs teeth daily will promote good oral health and prevent dental disease.

There are special pet tooth brushes and even pet approved flavoured toothpaste with flavours such as chicken, beef and fish. DO NOT use human toothpaste as this can contain potentially harmful ingredients such as xylitol.

Signs of dental disease in your pet includes:

  • Yellow or brown crust on your pets teeth (plaque and tartar build up)

  • Bad breath

  • Red and inflamed gums and in worse cases sore and bleeding gums

  • Tooth loss

  • Change in eating habits

  • Drooling

If you notice any of these signs in your pet, book an appointment with your vet for a check up.
