Neutering

We encourage cats, dogs and rabbits to be neutered for a number of reasons. Neutering prevents unwanted breeding as well as minimising the risks of a number of health issues such as pyometra, mammary tumours, testicular tumours and prostate issues.

If you do not plan to breed your cat or dog they can generally be neutered from 6 months old however the best time for your pet will be discussed with you on an individual basis.
